WHAT IS QI-GONG
QI-GONG is one of the oldest healing art
of East culture. Literally, "QI" means "Energy", "GONG" means GONG-FU".
Generally speaking, there are two kinds of QI-GONG, Interior Gong and
Exterior Gong."YIJINJIN" is one of the highest level of Interior Gong, while
"YING-GONG" is an example of Exterior Gong. "TAI-JI" or "Tai-Chi" is somehow
falling in between Interior and Exterior Gong.
WHAT IS MEDICAL QI-GONG ?
Medical QI-GONG including any of the QI
exercises intending to balance body's energy flow, harmonize our body's
physical, mental, and spiritual energy.Technically, they are equivalent to
western meditation.
Eastern meditation-oriented QI-GONG usually consist of two main parts of
energy manipulations. One is breathing skill, other is visualization. During the
practice, the focus is our physical, mental, and spiritual body. The goal is to
withdraw from daily stress and emotion, let our body have chance to balance and
regenerate.Recently QI-GONG is getting popular in western countries because of
its powerful healing outcome.
